Dexter is the new popular TV show everyone is talking about, thanks to Internet memes and Netflix for bringing it to a wider range of audiences. But after watching all eight seasons of Dexter , I realized that the Dexter we loved after the first season wasn't there anymore. The whole idea of Dexter as a serial killer is just tired, and it became more like a family drama than a thriller with a serial killer theme. So, I have come to the conclusion that watching all eight seasons of Dexter is not what someone should do. I have done it and will not recommend the same for others.
